Thanksgiving

Take your pick of the pics. Which do you like best?

Yes, I am well overdue in posting pics. This season is so busy. In a few weeks I can post the end-results of a major project I am working on that is taking a chunk of my time. Wait and see!

In the meantime - I still have much thanks in my heart carrying over from Thanksgiving to the celebration of the incarnation of Jesus. The reality of His coming to earth is awesome in the truest sense of this word! It's hard for me to put in words what I feel thinking about this. It's mind blowing. I want to stay here and continue thinking and meditating on this fact!

Red Top Mtn

Have to say I am super proud of Bryan for not watching the GA/FL game. What self control! Instead we made a trip to Red Top Mtn.
 Love my silly girl!!!

Redneck Peeble Beach

Bryan said the above put put golf course was a redneck Pebble Beach and the below was a redneck version of the Golden Gate Bridge. Ha!

The Bride of Christ

Anna's school had a Bible Chararcter Day. She chose to be the "Bride of Christ" because she wanted to wear her Bride dress.
Was super proud of her getting in front of the whole school and saying she was the "Bride of God!" Ah, close enough.

Mercier Farms - Trip 2

 Heading out to pick apples.
 The apple picking crew.
 Getting the apples up high.

Eating Mercier fried pies that are still warm. Yummo!!!

The Mtns

We pasted this picturesque spot on the drive to the cabin.
 Perfect reading spot.

Another beautiful view on our drive to the cabin.
Yay for smores!
Some of Anna's bounties from nature. It's the little things in life!

Fish Hatchery

 Little Miss

The gov't shutdown ended just in time for us to go to the federal fish hatchery. Loved seeing those rainbow trout! Definitely made for a great memory for Anna. I remember going to hatcheries as a kid, too.

M&M Lipstick

Funny the memories that stick in kids heads. Before going to the mountains again this Anna & I were talking about last year's trip and she was talking about Noel teaching her how to make M&Ms into lipstick. So this year when she got hold of an M&M she automatically turned it into lipstick again.

Bryan & I are so grateful for what Noel has taught us over the years in his trips to the states from Australia. Our eternal perspective has been changed and learned so much but don't think we'd put making M&M lipstick at the top of what we've learned. We'll have to teach Anna these deep truths a little later on in life for now we'll stick with the lipstick.

Burt's Pumpkin Patch

Burt's is officially our FAVORITE pumpkin patch ever!

Loved this shot of her in motion. Her & her daddy were playing chase.

Tah-dah!

Red Apple Barn

There were signs everywhere for this place so we thought it was going to be HUGE but it wasn't. They gave Anna a free apple though and it was the first one she's ever attempted to eat whole. Was fun watching her. She was thrilled!

There's the partially eaten apple in her hand.
Thought there wasn't much to do at this spot you could pick zinnias. We spent a whopping $.50 but Anna was thrilled again. It's the little things in life!

Homework in the Mtns

We took Anna's school work with us and she got to do her work with her grandpa, me and grandmama on various days. Grandmama, the first grade teacher over-achiever, had her reading her first few sentences! Whoa! Love seeing her little mind grow. It's amazing!

What a great spot to do homework!

Putting Princess

She loves to go to the golf course to see her daddy & grandpa!
How appropriate that she got this new toy right before going to the golf course.
So sweet watching Bryan teach Anna.

Have to say that she did great! We might have another golfer in the family.

Swinging Bridge

Anna, me & the new bear, Pinky-Winkly-Tinky!

Grandpa making the bridge move some more.
Was worth the hike to see the view of the river.

Mercier Farms - Trip 1

We love Mercier Farms for both apple picking and the YUMMY snacks they have! We went twice as the first time they weren't doing apple picking tours. Had to go back another time.
