Thanksgiving

A group photo is a must at our annual Thanksgiving celebration! There are some slight differences between one picture and the next...especially one sweet family member missing

from both.

I adore having my family over. All week I felt like whistling while I worked as I got my home in order in anticipation of them being here. It goes without saying how thankful I am to have incredible family members on both sides. I am blessed! Thank you, Lord!

The Birthday Boy!

It is hard to believe our big pup, Winston, is 11 years old. Here's Anna singing Happy Birthday to him. He kindly waited until we were finished singing to eat his banana muffin with cheese stick candle.

Surprise Weekend Away

One happy girl playing in the leaves

I could stare at this all day. There is nothing like spur of the moment! A week before we had no idea we would be in the mountains. So thankful my parents called us at the last minute to ask us to join them on a relaxing weekend in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This was sandwiched in between some amazing weekends over the past month at our church which we happily gave our time to and now a full-on workload for Bryan. God knows how to work out the timing and details of our lives and gave us the desires of our heart to see a bit of the fall foliage.

Fort Mountain State Park

Having a blast with Grandpa!

Fort Mountain is at the very edge of the North Geogia Mountains so if you look from one vantage point you see the beginning of the mountains and then flat land yet from another point all you see are the mountains.

Where We Stayed

Sitting on the porch overlooking the mountains.
There were bears EVERYWHERE at the house.
Anna especially loved the fireman bear.

A treat for Anna - a katydid!

A treat for Bryan - pacman.

What kid wouldn't like sleeping in bunk beds!

Her First Camp Fire

Here she is eating her first roasted marshmallow!

Serious Football Fans

Bryan loves the fact that Anna is getting serious about football. He finally has a football buddy in the house.
